Salary range: $93,473 - $132,672
Grade D/621 hay points
Compression Rate: $142,650
 
Responsibilities: 
  • This position is responsible for ensuring the 24x7 reliable operation of the VHF Radio (NYPD and RTO Radios), UHF Radio (EMS, FDNY and NYPD Radios), CCTV, and Security Systems.
  • Responsibilities include managing the maintenance and repair of communication systems such as Penta PMx (IP-Based Digital Communications System) and Penta PCx (Analog Communication Control System); coordinating and monitoring repairs with internal and external customers to ensure reliable operation of all Radio and Security Systems; overseeing security assets and maintaining communication rooms in the system.
  • From time to time, the incumbent may be asked to fill in the absence of the General Superintendent.
 
Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Computer Science, - - Communications, or a related field of study and eight (8) years of full-time, related experience and five (5) years must have been in a managerial/supervisory capacity; or
A satisfactory combination of education and experience

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Telecommunications and/or Electronics Maintenance.
  • Theoretical and operational experience in Radio Communication, Telecommunication, and Security Systems.
  • Experience working in a 24/7 operation is essential.
  • Proficient in reviewing system diagrams, operating and system test procedures.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with MS Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
