Compensation
Assistant Transit Management Analyst I: $65,954 - $78,079
Assistant Transit Management Analyst II: $76,577 - $85,288
Associate Transit Management Analyst: $86,565 - $112,083
Responsibilities
The analyst will be responsible for supervising unit that enters Sick forms onto both ATS and UTS payroll systems for the Hourly and Supervisory workforce in Subways. Additionally, the analyst will be responsible for sending violations to Labor Relations (OLR) for failure to submit timely sick forms. The analyst will be responsible for deducting pay for those employees whom OLR has determined to be in violation of the contract as it relates to the Sick Leave Policy. The analyst will perform timekeeping adjustments when employees need to be carried sick but were carried incorrectly in the respective payroll systems. The analyst may also perform other availability functions including Counseling and Sick Control Placement and responding to management and labor union issues.
The candidate will perform analytical functions which include researching and analyzing data relating to operational procedures and administrative systems. Will manage the status of projects, and coordinate with executives across the agency to provide updates and timely submission of information utilizing charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports.
Develop and recommend procedural or process improvements.
Education and Experience:
Assistant Transit Management Analyst
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed in "2"
below; and two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience as described in "2"
below. - A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and one year of satisfactory full-time professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports; or
Associate Transit Management Analyst:
- Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed in "2"
below; and three years of full-time satisfactory experience as described in "2"
below. One year of this experience must have been in the transportation industry.
- A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and two years of full-time satisfactory professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports. One year of experience must have been in the transportation industry; or

Selection Method:
Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.
All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
