Summary
The Office of the President for MTA Construction & Development leads the planning, design, and delivery of the MTA’s major capital projects. It oversees large-scale infrastructure investments—such as new transit lines, station upgrades, signal modernization, and accessibility improvements—ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with the MTA’s strategic goals. The office coordinates across agencies, manages budgets and schedules, and sets policies and standards to improve project delivery and long-term system reliability.
The Incumbent in this position will train to support the President & or the Chief of Staff, with some policy work, preparation of presentations and other written materials, support for board and other stakeholder briefings and management, as well as preparation for and staffing of events and public appearances.
Responsibilities
Under the guidance of managers, support the department in executing tasks that are relevant to the business unit in which they are working.
Support data-gathering, review, and updating of information and documentation in project management systems or systems supporting departmental operations.
Perform detailed administration tasks for capital projects or departmental operations. Support the preparation of reports.
Provide analytical support for the development of research, studies, analyses, and presentations related to capital projects,
Develop, prepare, and update analytical reports, spreadsheets, and databases.
Creates files and ensures that they are appropriately documented.
Handle confidential and sensitive information related to projects, personnel, or operations.
Ensure effective communication and function as liaison with project teams, departmental management, and other C&D units, as needed.
Depending upon the assignment, the Incumbent may work various shifts/days to participate in all aspects of the organization.
Complete other tasks as assigned.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Public Administration, Finance, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Computer Science, or a related field.

Proficient in MS Office Suite and other comparable PC applications.
Working knowledge of PeopleSoft, Power BI, and/or project management applications is preferred.
