JOB SUMMARY:
This position is open to all active Station Supervisors (I and II).
The Department of Subways, Operations Support, is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Timekeeping Unit. The selected candidate will be required to supervise employees and manage the various functions of Timekeeping ranging from data entry, delegation of assignments, coaching staff through issues, communicating updates pertaining to rules and procedures both internally and externally.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Providing professional support and delegating tasks to staff to ensure coverage of daily assignments, managing reports and successful execution of projects.
- Assess opportunities to streamline current procedures and incorporate automation.
- Perform daily entry into Timekeeping database for operational titles within Subways.
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal staff, field offices, management, and/or external departments as needed.
- Respond to Timekeeping issues through various portals and assist staff with addressing errors.
- Possesses multi-tasking skills, ability to flex in with tasks and maintain professional demeanor in high paced environment.
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Good attendance record.
- Excellent written, verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent time management.
- Ability to work individually and as part of team.
- Knowledge of collective bargaining agreements and NYCT Rules & Regulations.
- Possess general computer skills and adept at learning new software.

To be considered for this position, current MTA employees must have at least one year of service in their current role. Eligibility to interview also requires maintaining a satisfactory record in performance, attendance, and disciplinary conduct.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
This position is only open to current MTA/NYCT Station Supervisors with one (1) year in title.
SELECTION METHOD:
Based on evaluation of skills, experience and interview.
