POSITION SUMMARY  

This position supports the Assistant General Manager of Strategic Planning and Development by performing high‑level administrative and analytical work related to budget development, monitoring, and strategic planning for the Road Operations Division. The Manager of Administrative Support oversees and coordinates key administrative functions across all six Road Operations sub‑divisions, including overtime tracking, job number management, and ensuring the accuracy of timekeeping, payroll, and related information systems. The role monitors internal audit processes, recommends and implements corrective actions, and produces analytical and operational efficiency reports with performance indicators. Additional responsibilities include serving as the division’s training liaison and tracking chronic absenteeism. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the Division, including budgeting, overtime and cost tracking, reimbursable work, and preparing unbudgeted funding requests. Provide regular budget reports for subdivisions. Manage and reconcile divisional headcount, resolve discrepancies, oversee hiring needs, and track long-term employee absences. Coordinate with Labor Relations on issues related to chronic absenteeism. Monitor and report on monthly operational performance indicators such as on time performance, wait assessments, collisions, customer incidents, employee availability, road calls, and trip completion rates. Serve as the Division’s point of contact for investigations and audits and conduct safetyrelated analysis. Handle various administrative functions including equipment inventory and training coordination. Supervise staff across all related functions. 

  

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from an accredited college or university; or An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in place of the degree. 

  • 6 years of full-time related experience 

  • 2 years in a supervisory, managerial, or administrative role. 

  

DESIRED SKILLS 

  • Knowledge and understanding of NYCT and DOB administrative & operating Rules and Regulations and Policies & Procedures 

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills 

  • Excellent knowledge and experience with applicable software (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, etc)
