JOB INFORMATION:

POSITON SUMMARY:

The Transit Management Analyst Series supports the Division of Track by assisting with project planning, budget management, operational analysis, and administrative coordination. Incumbents help to develop and monitor projects, analyze service reliability and costs, track performance metrics, prepare reports, maintain computerized tracking systems, and support the implementation of departmental initiatives.

The position also serves as a liaison among various Track subdivisions, ensuring effective communication, accurate documentation, timely responses to customer and stakeholder inquires, and the successful execution and closeout of projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in the planning, development, implementation, and monitoring of Division of Track projects and initiatives.
• Support budget preparation, expenditure tracking, forecasting, and cost analysis activities
• Analyze operational performance, service reliability, and departmental processes to identify improvement opportunities.
• Perform administrative and analytical duties that support the strategic goals and operational needs of the maintenance of Way Track division
• Manage and maintain computerized tracking systems and databases used for reporting and performance monitoring.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Assistant Transit Management Analyst I & II

1. A master's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, or

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience working in budget administration, accounting, economic or financial administration, engineering, in management or methods of analysis, operations research, organization research or program evaluation, personnel or public administration, staff development, employment program planning or administration, security management; or general administration.

Associate Transit Management Analyst

1. A master's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and one year of full‐time satisfactory professional experience working in budget administration, accounting, economic or financial administration, engineering, in management or methods analysis, operations research, organizational research or program evaluation, personnel or public administration, staff development, employment program planning or administration, security management; or general administration; or

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university; and three years of satisfactory full-time experience as described in "1" above.

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Ability to make recommendations for action plans or streamlining to improve business performance.
• Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to draft reports, correspondence, and presentations for management.
• Ability to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences.
• Advance proficiency in Microsoft Access and Power BI.
• Advance proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and data reporting capabilities.
• Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
• Ability to function independently with limited work direction.
