Compensation:      

Salary Range (Grade D/594): $94,161 - $148,834   

UTLO Rate: $142,650

Responsibilities:      

The selected candidate is responsible for managing structure and/or lighting rehabilitation operations and repairs as they impact the physical integrity of NYC Transit Facilities. This includes any work that may involve electrical, plumbing, structural elements of the Employee Facility Rooms and Employee Locker Rooms. The selected candidate will manage projects across their locations to improve operations, structural integrity, electrical functions, and cometic appearances of the Employee Facility Rooms and Employee Locker Rooms. The selected candidate will need to read blueprints and interpret them as it pertains to layout construction and the timing of the project's completions. The selected candidate will manage contracts and maintain budget spending accurately.  Oversee subordinates and perform duties that may include developing cost estimates, maintenance, repair, and/or construction activities to ensure that assets are safe, cost effective and reliable.  The individual will interface with other managers within and outside the division to ensure safety protocols and procedures and any 3rd party assistance that is needed is communicated and scheduled accordingly and manage FCC shops administrative functions.  Assume the duties and responsibilities of the General Superintendent in his/her absence.

  

Education and Experience:      

1. A High School Diploma and Five (5) years of full-time related experience and three (3) years must have been in a managerial/supervisory capacity; or - OR -
2. A satisfactory equivalent of education and experience.      

       

Desired Skills:      

  • Strong Knowledge of MTA NYCT rules and regulations
  • Strong knowledge of construction trade, project maintenance techniques
  • Excellent Verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in the use of Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook 365 applications

 

Selection Method:      

Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.      

       

All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
