Assistant Transit Management Analyst II: $78,874 - $87,847
Associate Transit Management Analyst:  $89,162 - $115,445

Responsibilities:  
The selected candidate will provide crucial analytical support, translating quantitative and qualitative data into clear, actionable insights. The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to gathering, interpreting, analyzing and evaluating performance data, developing recommendations, and summarizing key findings. Preparing weekly and monthly performance reports utilizing various key performance indicators (KPIs) and creating presentations and analysis with charts and graphs. Assist in building and maintaining SharePoint, Power BI Apps, dashboards and various forms. Have strong analytical skills and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with senior management, staff, and MTA affiliates. Additionally, the candidate will contribute to special projects and various requests as needed. 
  
Education and Experience:  
   
Assistant Transit Management Analyst I & II:
  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field such as business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, economics, architecture, mathematics, computer science, finance, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban studies, human resources management, labor relations, labor relations, operations research, security management, or a related area.
or
  • Bachelor’s degree and two years of fulltime professional experience in areas such as budget or financial administration, accounting, engineering, analytical methods, operations or organizational research, program evaluation, public or personnel administration, staff development, employment program administration, security management, or general administration.
 
Associate Transit Management Analyst:
  • Master’s degree in one of the fields listed above and one year of related fulltime professional experience; or
  • Bachelor’s degree and three years of fulltime professional experience in those same areas.
  
Desired Skills  
  • Requires data analysis and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, exercise sound judgment, and recommend effective solutions.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel – pivot tables & V-Lookup’s, Word, PowerPoint) and have experience with SharePoint, Power BI, Forms, Applications, and Dashboards.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems is also required, along with strong computer skills for both mainframe and PC environments.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and efficiently. Work independently and effectively and are able to prioritize workload.
  • Possess good communication, customer service, and human relations skills.
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic, high degree of professionalism, and integrity. 
  • A self-motivated individual who can positively influence others to achieve departmental and corporate goals.
