ONLY CURRENT MTA/NYCT TRANSIT MAINTENANCE SUPERVISORS (TRACK) ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY
- Supervise and instruct hourly, supervisory & management employees in the classroom and field locations
- Create and maintain training aids & mockups
- Evaluate student performance and maintain records
- Collaborate with colleagues and department managers to coordinate & schedule training
- Research industry best practices and incorporate new & innovative delivery methods
- Deliver training presentations and facilitate computer-based training
- Provide trouble shooting and technical assistance
- Perform administrative tasks and other duties as required to meet business needs
Maintenance Supervisor (Track) II Salary Range:
1st Year $110,381
2nd Year $111,951
3rd Year $115,888
Education and Experience:
Desired Skills:
- Create and follow lesson plans & present training materials in an effective manner
- Ability to communicate through verbal and written means
- Coordinate with other training units to achieve training goals effectively
- Possess excellent writing and verbal communication skills
- Provide input to update and revise learning materials / manuals
- Work to develop instructor and participant learning materials/manuals
- Knowledge of construction, maintenance and inspection of NYC Transit subway and elevated tracks
- Ability to use resources effectively and adapt to changing conditions
- Knowledge and experience of track safety and track flagging procedures as outlined in the NYCT Rules and Regulations, MW-1 Standards Reference Manual & the MOW Safety Rule Books
