Position Title: Signal Operations Training, Emerging Talent Intern
Hourly Rate: $21.00 (Graduate)
OVERVIEW OF DEPARTMENT:
Operations Training provides numerous training programs (approximately 350 individual courses) focusing on safety, security, induction of new hires and promotions, conventional and new equipment, title-specific knowledge, and skill refreshers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The intern will be responsible for developing new attendance applications and designing a centralized database system to securely store and manage sign-in data. This role provides hands-on experience in both application development and operations support to a training center.
- Design and develop operational and educational applications (web or mobile) with user-friendly features.
- Build and configure systems to securely store and manage data.
- Integrate applications to ensure seamless data flow and retrieval.
- Test and troubleshoot applications to identify and resolve bugs or performance issues.
- Support the operations of a technical school including learning operations and new methods to improve it.
- Work with hardware and software associated with simulator equipment.
- Document the existing training process and help improve existing operations.
- Collaborate with staff and stakeholders to gather requirements and adjust new programs to meet organizational needs.
- Provide training and technical support to staff on how to use and maintain the new systems.
PROJECTS:
This assignment will help streamline the organization’s information process, reducing reliance on manual processes. The centralized database project will improve data accessibility, reporting, enabling leadership to make better-informed decisions.
- Design and implement applications (web or mobile) with data capture features.
- Potentially develop and configure a central database system to store, organize, and retrieve sign-in records efficiently.
- Create documentation and enhance training materials to support staff.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a must.
- The candidate should possess organizational, analytical and communication skills.
- The candidate should be able to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
- The candidate should have a keen eye for detail and be able to work independently while being an active team player.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- Matriculated in a graduate program in good standing with at least 2.8 GPA
- Major(s) Preferred: Computer Science, Data Science, STEM degrees, Humanities, Education, Business Management, or related field.
