Compensation: 
Salary Range (Grade D/594 Hay): $96,277 (Min) - $136,290 (Max)  
Responsibilities: 
Material Control supports most of Subways in various respects: providing cleaning and clerical supplies, liaison to Procurement and Supply Logistics (Stations & Service Delivery), personal protective equipment and supplies (MOW, Facilities, Stations, Service Deliveries), pandemic supplies,  radios, purchases in support of projects and everyday needs. Material Control also tracks forecasts of commodity items and reconciles the forecasts against usage, prepares and track the submissions of requisitions through PeopleSoft from inception to ensuring the material and services are provide, troubleshooting when necessary, and entering receipts to help ensure prompt payment, working with Procurement to ensure materials meet NYCT specifications, making changes and corrections when needed, track delivery of supplies throughout Stations ensuring sufficient inventory, and providing various reports on all the above. The Director will be responsible for overseeing the operations at three locations.
 
Education and Experience: 
Seven (7) years of related experience, and four (4) years of experience in a managerial/supervisory capacity; Baccalaureate or an equivalent combination of education and experience from an accredited college may be considered in lieu of a degree. 
  
A satisfactory equivalent combination of education and experience.  
 
Desired Skills:  
Extensive background in material administration. 
Familiarity with administrative, maintenance operations, project management, industrial scheduling and material planning and acquisition in a large urban mass transit system. 
In-depth knowledge of MTA New York City Transit rules and regulations, Station Environment & Operations, Service Delivery, and Operations Support safety rule requirements and budget practices.
 
Selection Method: 
Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.
 
All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
