Responsibilities
The Director, Fleet Planning and Contracts position will assist the Senior Director, Planning, Contracts and EAM in critical high-level financial, fleet planning, business planning, contracts, administrative, and analytical functions for all departments in the Maintenance, Support and Engineering Division. The position is responsible for managing the operating and capital budgets and long and short-term planning initiatives. The position focuses on the development and implementation of fleet planning and bus retirement for nearly 6,000 NYCT and MTA Bus fleet. With collaboration with New Bus, Budget, Bus Technology, Operation Planning, and various analytical reports and new programs to ensure the most efficient use of maintenance resources, equipment, and staff. Responsible for internal control process and corrective actions. Collaborate with all Maintenance, Support & Engineering Divisions on various projects and initiatives. Responsible for overseeing workforce for Maintenance, Support and Engineering Division with conjunction with Human Resources, OMB, and Budget departments. Prepare hiring justifications, Managerial Position Questionnaires (MPQs) and Job Vacancy Notices (JVNs).

Education and Experience
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in business administration, economics, or in a related area, and eight (8) years of full-time related professional experience, and at least four (4) years of which must have been in a supervisory/managerial/administrative capacity; OR
2. A satisfactory equivalent of the combined education and experience requirements.
Desired Skills
Ability to perform and understand complex statistical analysis. Familiarity with data analysis and reporting systems, Budget development procedures and policies. General knowledge of maintenance practices at NYCT/MTA Bus. Experience with developing short- and long-term plans and tracking their attainment.
