POSITION SUMMARY:
The selected candidate will need strong project management and time-management skills, as they will spearhead a range of special projects and initiatives with PMO Governance. The selected candidate will support the Senior Vice President & COO in the review and management of all critical division-level documentation, including but not limited to operating policies and procedures, internal controls, and emergency plans. The incumbent will coordinate, direct, drive & monitor all operating projects and related matters. They will oversee all reliability and maintenance trends and establish procedures for optimal ridership satisfaction. The selected candidate will gather and evaluate pertinent data, process reports, and prepare summaries using queries, charts, and graphs.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Assistant Transit Management Analyst I – II:
- A master's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, or
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience working in budget administration, accounting, economic or financial administration, engineering, in management or methods of analysis, operations research, organization research or program evaluation, personnel or public administration, staff development, employment program planning or administration, security management; or general administration.
Associate Transit Management Analyst:
- A master's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and one year of full-time satisfactory experience working in budget administration, accounting, economic or financial administration, engineering, in management or methods analysis, operations research, organizational research or program evaluation, personnel or public administration, staff development, employment program planning or administration, security management; or general administration; or
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university; and three years of full-time satisfactory experience as described in “1” above.
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in cost analysis is desired but not necessary.
- Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
- Key soft skills include attention to detail, discretion, customer service and adaptability to manage various administrative tasks efficiently.
