JOB TITLE: Request for consideration – Supervisor, Personnel and Records Section
DEPT/DIV:MTAPD Administrative Services Bureau (ASB) / Resource Management Division
SUPERVISOR Commanding Officer - Resource Management Division
LOCATION: 420 Lexington Avenue, Suite 425
HOURS OF WORK: Ten hours 16 minutes (10:16) tours, Four (4) days per week, with Three (3) consecutive rest days.
SUMMARY:
The Department is seeking applications from qualified Supervisors who are interested in being considered for the assignment of Supervisor, Personnel and Records Section.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitoring the polling of overtime, maintenance preparation, monitoring and dissemination of overtime positions polled.
- Preparation and dissemination of department orders.
- Maintain seniority roster for all members of the department.
- Oversight of payroll list for Members assigned to Personnel and Records.
- Preparation of the Extra-List and assignment of personnel to such.
- Supervision of the records section and oversee archiving of department documents.
- Supervise full/restricted/and modified duty officers time off schedule.
- Supervise and oversees officers assigned to overtime polling.
- Prepares and delegates polling tasks received on late notice to satisfy approved overtime requests.
- Supervises and oversees officers assigned to quality control of the Records Sections.
- Act as an alternate in supervision of the property section when the other supervisors are not present.
- Publish operational, interim, general, circular and personnel orders.
- All other administrative functions as directed by the Chief of Administration.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualified supervisors must, at a minimum, have the following qualifications/requirements to be considered for appointment.
- Must be a supervisor at the time of the interview.
- Be knowledgeable with adhering to the MTA-PBA collective bargaining agreement.
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Be knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
- Be able to multi-task, move from assignment to assignment, and delegate some of the work assigned.
- Candidates who are classified as “Doctor Certified” or “Chronic Sick” or who have a history of substantiated discipline, will be subject to review based on the underlying circumstances regarding classification and may be disqualified at any stage of the selection process.
- Successful completion of the panel interview.
Other Information:
