POSITON SUMMARY:
This position encompasses in-depth database development and coordination responsibilities, including implementing electronic checklists, enhancements, maintenance, analysis of databases, and automated workflow development.
The selected candidate will develop, implement, and maintain database management systems, including Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Asset Information Management (AIM), ArcGIS systems and Auto Workflows using Microsoft applications for the RSS Division.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key responsibilities include:
- Works independently to manage software tasks related to data administration, database management, operating systems, data communications, Microsoft applications, local networks, hardware, software products, and quality assurance.
- Act as a subject matter expert in these areas. Provides computer and software support across various CCTV, Access Control, and Radio technologies. Leads major initiatives to integrate diverse computer hardware and software within telecommunication systems.
- Analyzing EAM data and generating reports as directed by management.
- Train new employees on data entry procedures using portable devices and the desktop EAM application to ensure that data is captured uniformly.
- Submit Service Now tickets and coordinate with various MTA-IT teams to resolve the issues.
- Deploy PCs, Mobile Devices etc. to new users and ensure that the users have access to LAN, corporate email, printers, internet, home folders, shared folders, and various software applications.
- Assist with managing hardware and software inventory and life cycle.
- Coordinate with Department Of Subway EAM support team to grant RSS users access to HxGN and ArcGIS systems
- Help resolve EAM mobile device syncing issues, network connectivity, and system performance issues.
- Visit remote facilities and provide hands-on technical support to end-users related to PC, Multi-function Printers, Microsoft 365 Apps/Services, Shared Folders, Mobile Devices, and various standard/proprietary application software.
- Coordinate with various MTA-IT teams along with vendors to troubleshoot issues.
- Assist with custom database development for RSS to streamline their work processes and perform regular update / maintenance of those workflows.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Qualification Requirements
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college including or supplemented
by 24 semester credits in computer science or a related computer field and one
year of satisfactory full‐time computer software experience in computer
systems development and analysis, applications programming, database
administration, maintenance and support, systems programming, data
communications, mobile development, web development and design; or
- A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and five years of
satisfactory full‐time computer software experience as described in ʺ1ʺ above;
or
- Education and/or experience equivalent to ʺ1ʺ or ʺ2ʺ above. College education
may be substituted for up to two years of the required experience in ʺ2ʺ above
on the basis that 60 semester credits from an accredited college is equated to
one year of experience. In addition, 24 semester credits from an accredited
college or graduate school in computer science or a related field, or a certificate
of at least 625 hours in computer programming from an accredited technical
school (post high school), may be substituted for one year of experience.
However, all candidates must have at least a four‐year high school diploma or
its educational equivalent and at least one year of satisfactory full‐time experience as described in ʺ1ʺ above.
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Hands-on experience with HxGN/Hexagon EAM development, SQL, along with the ability to analyze complex business requests and support enterprise-wide EAM standardization initiatives.
- Proficient in Microsoft Power Apps, Forms, Power Automate, and Power BI.
- In-depth understanding of SharePoint.
- Strong understanding of web development concepts: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ASP.NET

Final salary is determined experience, skillset, and alignment with compensation practices. The posted range reflects expected compensation and may be updated as market or business needs evolve.
