Job Description: 

The EAM team is seeking an experienced GIS Project Manager to lead our Geographic Information Systems (GIS) team. The GIS Manager will play a vital role in overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of our GIS projects and systems that are connected to the EAM team’s asset management system. Giving guidance to the projects, working with business stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide spatial solutions that support the team’s organization's goals.

Compensation:

Salary Range: $83,309 - $123,620 (Grade E) 

Responsibilities: 

  • Elevate and share in GIS goals and accomplishments.
  • Lead and manage the GIS team.
  • Manage processes for hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Plan, design, and execute GIS projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • In coordination with IT, develop and maintain GIS databases, applications, and tools to support various Subways division.
  • Analyze spatial data and generate insightful reports for decision-making purposes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify GIS needs and provide technical guidance.
  • Stay current with GIS trends and technologies to recommend innovative solutions. 
  • Manage and maintain relationships with external data providers and vendors.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and quality control for all GIS-related processes.

  Education and Experience:

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in business administration, finance, computer science, marketing, engineering or related field, with six (6) years of progressively responsible experience of which three (3) years must have been in a managerial/supervisory capacity -OR-
A satisfactory combination of education and experience.

 Desired Skills: 

  • Proficiency in GIS software (Esri. ArcGISPro, ArcGIS) and data visualization tools
  • Understanding of Asset Management Principles
  • Understand of HxGN EAM software
  • Python scripting, SQL
  • Familiarity with GPS, and cartographic principles
  • Project management expertise with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for spatial data interpretation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for cross-team collaboration
  • Project management expertise with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite

 Selection Method:

Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.

 All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
