COMPENSATION
Salary Range: $87,951 – $124,834 (Grade E, 571 Points)
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is accountable for supervising and directing the development and preparation of efficient, economical, and reliable bus schedules for the Bus Network Redesigns. Assists the Deputy Director in the preparation of cost estimates for these Bus Network Redesigns. Responsible for analysis and evaluation of service levels and running times for all bus routes that are part of the Redesign. Will develop and coordinate Schedules staff working on Bus Redesign Project.
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Seven years of progressively responsible transportation experience, five years of which must have been in the schedule department of a large transit authority or firm, three years of which must have been in a supervisory or managerial capacity; or
A bachelor’s degree in management, engineering, mathematics, planning or transportation planning, or their equivalent, and two years supervisory or managerial experience in the schedules department of a large transit authority or firm; or
Education and experience equal to the above.
DESIRED SKILLS
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Knowledge in all aspects of bus scheduling with the use of Hastus software
Knowledge of Destination Sign Code software
Knowledge of UTS, STIF, GTFS files
