Responsibilities
This position is accountable for managing various maintenance trades in facility operations, repair and rehabilitation operations as they impact upon the physical integrity of New York City Transit stations and facilities. This includes correcting all defects and outstanding work orders which may involve electrical, plumbing, structural and architectural elements of stations, employee facilities, repair shops and train yards. Provide support in the performance of capital projects from scope development to construction closeout.
Education and Experience:
1. A High School Diploma and Five (5) years of full-time related experience and three (3) years must have been in a managerial/supervisory capacity; - OR -
2. A satisfactory equivalent of education and experience.
Desired Skills
- Knowledge of construction trades, project management, maintenance management techniques
- New York City Transit Budget practices, material procurement procedures
- Knowledge of vehicle systems and components
- Knowledge of design, manufacturing processes, product testing and maintenance, other subways divisions, safety rules and labor contracts.
- Strong knowledge of MTA NYCT rules and regulations.
