Compensation
Salary Range: $90,590 – 128,239 (Grade E/534 hay points)
Summary
This position will develop and establish pro-active data gathering processes, metrics, and
overall workforce analytics associated with managing the day-to-day updates for the Vice
President Business Strategies and Buses Support, including service changes, performance
analysis, safety analysis, and new bus development plans. Responsibilities include
conducting research, handling information requests, providing analytical support to develop
recommendations based on solid analytics to allow for operational excellence. Gather all key
performance indicators and metrics and summarize, analyze and prepare the book for the
monthly MTA Committee meetings. Review and prep the SVP and VP for the Committee Prep
meeting with the NYCT President. Attend the NYCT President's prep meeting to ensure the
material meets the requisite needs for the NYCT President to present to the MTA Board. This
position will be required to perform ad-hoc special projects and support executive staff in
carrying out agency objectives. Manage and prepare responses for the Press Office and Buses
senior leadership for all Bus related press inquiries and serve on a monthly rotational basis as
the off-hour manager monitoring Bus related incidents with the potential for required
responses for the Press Office and Bus senior leadership
Responsibilities
• Develop and manage administrative processes to ensure efficient workflows and ensure
data is captured and presented in an efficient manner. Monitor outcomes to identify new
ways to streamline and improve workforce analytics. Monitor key performance indicators
and develop and produce analyses and reports to provide insight into operations and
performance. Review procedures and implement improvements where necessary.
Coordinate divisional efforts, marshaling and analyzing data from various sources to
anticipate and mitigate any adverse impact on critical operational needs
• Track and respond to all Press Office inquires for Bus related incidents. Gather information
from Bus Senior division leadership, review data, prepare reports, and determine level of
escalation to the SVP. Serve on a monthly rotational basis to cover any Bus related Press
Office inquiries on the weekend/holidays, to ensure coverage is given to address any
critical needs
• The incumbent will undertake other ad-hoc assignments and manage special initiatives and
projects, as appropriate. Special projects include complex reporting, project management
and analytical assignments related to key performance indicators like Bus Speed, Bus
Technology, Zero Emissions Fleet, ACE, and operational issues.
• Gather the key performance indicators on a monthly basis. Analyze the data and prepare
the Committee reports ensuring all pertinent data is captured for presentation to senior
staff and the MTA Board. Coordinate and streamline the production of materials for the
monthly MTA Committee meetings.
Education and Experience
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in business administration, public
administration, accounting, Humanities, Computer Science or satisfactory equivalent and six (5)
years of full-time related professional experience, and two (2) years in a managerial/supervisory
capacity or
2. A satisfactory equivalent of the combined education and experience requirements.
