Responsibility:
This position will include Track related administrative functions. Assist management in the planning, directing or maintenance and defect correction activities. Involved in scheduling and coordinating Track Capital Program, maintenance requests and processing MOW related track access. Develops strategic and tactical remediation plans to enable the division to better utilize material, workforce resources. Provides weekly verbal or written reports as required.
  

Make on-site evaluation of situations and recommend appropriate level and type of response required. Develop action plans to improve productivity and accountability. Oversee Maintenance and repair operations to ensure personnel adherence to MOW Safety and Office of System Safety policies, 'safety rules' and procedures. Responsible for the safety of employees, work site safety, and respond to safety issues/incidents that may occur under their jurisdiction.  

The incumbent may also be required to assume the responsibilities of the Superintendent in the absence of the Superintendent, if so directed. The incumbent will undertake any other tasks required by management.  

Compensation:
Maintenance Supervisor (Track) II Salary Range:
  

1st Year                      $110,381  

2nd Year                     $111,951  

3rd Year                      $115,888  

Education and Experience:
Five years of full-time satisfactory experience working in any discipline within Subways/Maintenance of Way. At least one year of this experience must have been in a supervisory capacity.

  

Desired Skills:
  

  • Experience with the Division of MOW Track
  • Familiarity with NYCT safety rules, labor contracts and in-house capital projects.
  • Experience with INFOR, STARS, IRAILS and similar business software
  • Strong computer and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal, administrative and conflict resolution skills
