Compensation
Salary Range: $81,780 - $116,074
HAYO Level F
UTLO compression floor: $118,000       

Responsibilities:
Under general supervision with broad scope to exercise independent judgement, the selected candidate will be accountable for performing supervisory work of varying levels of difficulty with regards to the diagnosis, repair, installation, and testing of electronic and electromechanical equipment associated with subway cars, buses, fare collection and communications equipment at the Central Electronics Shop CES. The selected candidate is in immediate charge of the Electronic and Revenue Equipment Maintainers Level II engaged in the maintenance and repair of electronic modules, PCBs and or associated hardware. The selected candidate will assign work, track labor hours, monitor, coordinate and document CES’ productivity and through-put of modules using the Spear Maintenance Management System; identify items requiring research for alternate parts replacement; evaluate repair processes and procedures; monitor employee availability; perform maintenance audits as well as perform, report, and take actions to correct deviations identified on safety walk-throughs and audits.       

Education and Experience:
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field of study and five (5) years of full-time related experience, of which three (3) year must have been in a managerial/supervisory capacity; Or       

A satisfactory combination of education and experience.       

Desired Skills       

  • Strong knowledge of NYCT rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, including labor relations.
  • Experience in maintenance processes or research and development function in a technical organization.
  • Working knowledge of electronics, inclusive of hardware and software interdependency.
  • Familiarity with soldering technologies, processes, and inspection of workmanship.
  • Strong supervisory or project management skills including timekeeping practices.
  • Familiarity with material management operations policies and procedures.

Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience and interview.
