Position Title:     Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP), Emerging Talent Intern
Hourly Rate      $22.00 (Post-Graduate)
 Overview of Department:
HR Business Partner (HRBP) are responsible for implementing the MTA Peoples (HR) integrated solutions, programs, and strategies; as well as support and implement a full range of HR activities. HRBP oversees the day-to-day Human Resources activities for the agencies with Buses and is charged with developing strategic relationships with designated client while providing them with effective and efficient customer service. HRBP handles all their HR-related needs and carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: talent acquisition; employee relations consultation; policy interpretation and application, leave administration, organizational design, workforce planning, and compensation consultation.
 
Responsibilities:
  • ServiceNow (HR Case Management)
  • Evaluation of attendance and discipline reports
  • Assistance with Contingent Employee Onboarding
  • Proofread job postings, draft memos/correspondence and other documents
  • Provide administrative assistance including typing, information research and filing.
  • Review HRIS data for accuracy
Projects:
  • ServiceNow (HR Case Management)
  • Attendance evaluations
  • Assistance with Contingent Employee Onboarding
Required Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a must.
  • The candidate should possess organizational, analytical and communication skills. 
  • The candidate should be able to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • The candidate should have a keen eye for detail and be able to work independently while being an active team player.
  • Possess a high degree of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Administrative and organizational skills.
Required Education:
  • Matriculated in a graduate program with at least a 2.8 GPA.
  • Major(s) Preferred: Business Management, Computer Science, Business Administration, Public Administration/Human Resources, Social/Health Sciences, Law, Labor Relations
