Role Summary

MetaPhase is seeking a SharePoint Content Management Intern in which you will play a key role in supporting the organization's digital content strategy by managing and organizing content within the SharePoint platform. This internship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in content management, information architecture, and SharePoint administration.

Basic Qualifications (Required)

  • Currently enrolled in a college-level program, with a focus on information science, library science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint or other content management systems is preferred but not required; willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies is essential.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Basic understanding of information architecture principles, metadata management, and content classification concepts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of Power Platform is a plus

Essential Responsibilities

  • Content Organization: Collaborate with the SharePoint team to organize and structure content within SharePoint sites and document libraries, ensuring alignment with information architecture best practices and user experience principles.
  • Content Ownership: Work closely with content owners across departments to identify, review, and update existing content, as well as upload new content to SharePoint sites while maintaining consistency, accuracy, and relevance.
  • Metadata Management: Assist in the development and implementation of metadata schema and tagging strategies to enhance content discoverability, searchability, and navigation within SharePoint.
  • User Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users on SharePoint content management best practices, including version control, document collaboration, and permissions management.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular audits and quality checks to ensure content integrity, adherence to organizational guidelines, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain documentation on content management processes, procedures, and guidelines, and generate reports on content usage, engagement, and performance metrics as needed.
