Role Summary

MetaPhase Consulting is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, and organized Business Analyst to join our cloud solutions teams in support of a very visible government client. The Business Analyst has deep customer knowledge and an excellent ability to transform strategic intent into fully elaborated requirements and user stories, feature specifications, and acceptance criteria.  The right candidate will have the opportunity to interface with multiple customers and offices and help the solutions teams understand the business needs.  

What You Will Be Doing

  • Owns the development of the product backlog of user stories, clearly communicating the requirements to the team and working with team members as needed to further explain requirements.
  • Facilitates client-facing meetings to understand requirements.
  • Helps stakeholders envision how their processes will change with the implementation of the solution.
  • Establishes user story acceptance criteria.
  • Actively participates in all Agile ceremonies.
  • Design, create, and maintain Atlassian Jira workflows, project workflows, field configurations, screen, permission, notification schemas, and automations in support of multiple projects and workstreams.
  • Aids in developing metrics and reporting for business leads as well as tracking performance.
  • Provides operational support, process support, and testing support as needed. ‪
  • Take ownership and manage the full lifecycle of the customer onboarding process.

What We Need From You (Required) 

  • 3+ years experience as a business analyst supporting a DevSecOps team leveraging Agile Scrum and implementing cloud solutions (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP, ServiceNow, Unqork).
  • Proficiency in the use of Atlassian Jira to capture and manage updates to epics and user stories.
  • Experience in writing functional and non-functional requirements and user story and epic definition.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and writing skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs to be a successful advocate for the customer.
  • Take initiative, manage own workload, and assume responsibility for tasks.
  • Active Secret security clearance or above. 

Bonus Points (Desired)

  • Business process engineering experience.
  • Familiarity with Google Apps Suite, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Previous experience supporting similar projects in the federal sector.
  • Relevant technical and/or professional certifications (e.g. ITIL Foundations, Certified Scrum Master, ServiceNow Certified Administrator, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, etc.).

Education Level

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Clearance Level

Active Secret (or above) Clearance Required; U.S. Citizenship required (NO EXCEPTIONS). 
 
Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $95K-$132K.
