Role Summary

MetaPhase Consulting is supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Infrastructure Security Division (ISD) School Safety Task Force (SSTF). The SSTF plays a critical role in a whole-of- government initiative to support K-12 schools throughout the United States. SSTF serves as a hub (through SchoolSafety.gov) for product development, training, guidance, and tools with a broad and diverse set of K-12 schools and related stakeholder groups across the nation. DHS CISA ISD SSTF is taking steps to mature the Federal School Safety Clearinghouse through the development of new evidence- based products. This will be accomplished by standardizing evaluation methodology, supported by a repeatable data analytics approach, and operationalized through training and surveys.
In support of this project, MPC is seeking a Research Analyst with 3-5 years of relevant experience in school safety and/or K-12 education and/or consulting. 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
  • Research information for School Safety Task Force products, white papers, talking points, memos, presentations, and other materials.
  • Development of new products, resources, or guidance related to community needs
  • Assist in the management of an increasingly complex portfolio of products and trainings
  • Edit products within applicable guidelines (e.g. CISA Style Guide, Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, Plain Writing Act, etc.)
  • Recommend product enhancements related to both content and UI/UX
  • Ensures program records management is in compliance with NARA/CISA/ISD guidelines and policies
  • Assess stakeholder needs, customer satisfaction, and program effectiveness
  • Recommend and implement process improvements
 
What We Need From You (Required) 
  • A minimum of 3-5 years in management and/or government consulting
  • Strong English language writing skills, communications and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage, prioritize, and track multiple complex tasks
  • Product management support experience
  • Expertise in program research methodologies and best practices
  • Familiarity with guidelines such as CISA Style Guide, Section 508 and Plain Writing Act
  • Ability to obtain a DHS Public Trust Clearance (US Citizenship required)
