Role Summary 
  

MetaPhase is seeking a consultant with 3-7 years work experience (with at least 2 years grants management experience) to provide programmatic support to our FEMA clients in the Grant Programs Directorate.    

Our work for FEMA includes support for the one new grant programs: the State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program, Tribal Cybersecurity Grant Program, and Shelter and Services Program (providing resources to non-citizen migrants), as well as a suite of long-standing homeland security and preparedness grant programs.    

Preparedness grants help develop and sustain capabilities at the state and local, tribal, and territorial levels and in our nation’s highest-risk transit systems, ports and along our borders to prevent, protect against, respond to, recover from and mitigate terrorism and other high-consequence disasters and emergencies.

What You Will Be Doing
  

  • Provide high quality written communications with an impeccable attention to detail in formatting, grammar, spelling, and punctuation. 
  • Synthesize and summarize complex information from multiple sources. 
  • Lead or assist the team to prepare for and execute meetings, including developing agendas, overall logistics, note taking, tracking actions, producing reports, and/or supporting next steps. 
  • Track stakeholder interactions and make recommendations for stakeholder engagement, outreach planning, and overall communications. 
  • Lead or support cross-departmental initiatives, effectively collaborating with all parties to successfully fulfill client needs. 
  • Interpret the federal grant guidance as it applies to a grant program. 
  • Support or design programmatic and/or technical assistance support activities in collaboration with program leadership, program staff, and subject matter experts  
  • Prepare high-level briefings and talking points for federal staff regarding grant program activities. 
  • Develop and maintain status dashboards and trackers for grant administration milestones. 


What We Need From You (Required)  

  • 3-7 years work experience; 2+ years of professional experience supporting the grants management lifecycle. 
  • Demonstrated experience applying rules and regulations of federal grants (Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards, i.e., 2 CFR 200) in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Experience with task or project management, meeting preparation and facilitation, and/or stakeholder outreach related to grant administration. 
  • Impeccable attention to detail including spelling, grammar, formatting, and punctuation in Microsoft Word. 
  • Experience with creating high quality deliverables using Microsoft Office tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Visio). 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.  
  • Strong ability to multi-task, prioritize and work independently; the ability to drive and own tasks are preferred. 
  • Work well in a collaborative, yet primarily remote, environment. 

Bonus Points (Desired)   

  • Expertise in refining pre and post-award grants management processes and updating standard operating procedures.  
  • Experience establishing quality control and assurance (QA/QC) procedures and performing QC/QA activities.  
  • Experience providing oversight and direction across multiple workstreams to promote consistent delivery and develop strong client relationships.
