What’s in it for you?

You will drive the antibody engineering activities at Mersana, from strategy to execution. You will apply your creativity and expertise to pipeline programs as well as the development of novel technologies. You will explore alternative antibody constructs, forms, and scaffolds, including bispecifics and biparatopics, in a hypothesis-based approach consistent with the therapeutic target and ADC platform; and you will have the opportunity to be the Discovery Project Team Leader. You will work closely with other project teams to define mAb screening cascades, identify lead mAbs, evaluate developability, and ultiamtely nominate ADC Development Candidates.


How do you know if you’re the right fit?

You have 5-10 years of industry experience in antibody discovery with a track record of drug discovery milestones and specific contributions to antibody engineering. You have demonstrated leadership skills, scientific rigor, and effective decision-making. You have excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, and can leverage internal resources as well as CROs to deliver robust data packages. You thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven, team-based environment with high accountability.


The other stuff

This role is best suited for a Ph.D. in biochemistry, biophysics, immunology, or related discipline, with 5-10 years of industry experience in antibody discovery & engineering and a deep understanding of the field of antibody therapeutics.
