Position Summary

The Backup Recovery Resiliency Architect is a creative, resourceful, and polished professional with an extensive knowledge of advanced backup/recovery products and solutions. This individual will meet with customers and Account Executives to review potential solutions, uncover customer requirements, document requirements for the Design Engineering Team, present to the customer, and help close business. The Architect is an expert in Commvault backup technology but has industry knowledge of multiple vendor solutions (on-premises traditional HW/SW along with Cloud and Managed Services) offerings. This individual also provides consultative customer interviews, presentations, and demonstrations to help drive revenue and growth with existing and new customers.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide consultation and design services;
  • Determine scope and develop proposals;
  • Provide pre-sales consulting support;
  • Works with the services team to ensure a successful installation, migration, consolidation, and support plans;
  • Ensure all projects deliver a quality product on schedule;
  • Partner with the current backup recovery MSP offering team to evaluate areas for optimization and efficiency;
  • Meet with potential and existing customers to gather information and requirements;
  • Assist in closing potential opportunities and present to customers;
  • Demonstrate equipment to clients;
  • Document requirements, establish designs, and provide complete solutions for client’s business problems;
  • Write statements of work and scope services as required
  • Interact with customers to understand a client’s strategic direction;
  • Work with Account Executives to understand the deal flow from opportunity identification to proposal;
  • Participate in training programs and pass expert certification exams on specific product lines;
  • Travel to customer sites when needed;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications and Requirements

  • At least eight years of backup recovery experience;
  • Bachelor's Degree in IT related field or relevant work experience preferred
  • Experience in presenting solutions to customers at the “C” level of the organization;
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills;
  • Deep understanding of the Commvault product suite with the ability to provide presales architect support in opportunities;
  • Veeam, Rubrik, Cohesity, Data Domain knowledge a plus;
  • Hardware platform along with virtualization architecture skill is desired: x86 hardware platforms compute and storage (Cisco, HPE, Dell)
  • Understanding of Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Architecture
  • Ability to architect cross-technology solutions is a plus (Server, Storage, Networking, Virtualization)
