Summary:

As the Manager of Operations Services at Mendocino Farms, you will be responsible for assisting in workflow management between multiple departments at Base Camp (Corporate) as well as at the Restaurant level.  Your main areas of responsibility include developing operational documents and assisting in company initiatives, rollouts, and projects to optimize the performance of Base Camp and Managers/Team Members in the Restaurants.  

The Manager of Operations Services role falls within the Operations department and partners closely with the Vice President of Operations Services. This is a cross-functional position in which you will interact regularly with every department at Base Camp, as well as Managers and Team Members alike.

Responsibilities:

  • Ops Services Collateral – Creator, Contributor, Support
    • Supports, and at times spearheads operational initiatives and projects ranging from day-to-day to complex
    • Develops thoughtful, clear, and concise operational documents with a Mendo voice for the intended audience(s)
    • Attends kickoff, daily/weekly, and debrief meetings for all related initiatives and projects
    • Helps facilitate and shape the voice of Base Camp by creating communication that goes directly to the restaurant level
    • Learn and understand all platforms, processes, and systems that directly support Base Camp and Restaurants
  • LMS (Farmhouse) – Auditor, Administrative Support, and Contributor
    • Completes monthly audits of recipes (quarterly w/menu rollouts)/training materials/etc. to ensure all documents are up to date (Ops Resource Center docs only)
    • Audits and provides companywide reporting for all rollouts and new initiatives
    • Monitors Farmhouse Support requests for user issues and user issues
  • Ops Support
    • Works with VPs and Directors with operational communication maintaining Mendo tone and delivering content that helps cement brand standards
    • Helps facilitate funneling and streamlining of communication from Base Camp to the field to limit the quantity of information delivered to operators
    • Creates short, creative, quirky content that speaks to our inner demographic and helps drive operational consistency

Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ relevant experience, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Restaurant operations experience preferred
  • Leadership: demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
  • Planning: Ability to think ahead and plan over a one –to two- year span
  • Management: Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Familiar with G Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Basic understanding of LMS platform functionalities
  • Familiar with project management platforms
  • Excels in high performance teams and is a strong team player
  • Skill in assessing and prioritizing multiple tasks, projects, and demands
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds
  • Sitting / standing 6-8 hours
  • Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
