Human Resource Coordinator
Studio City, CA

Summary:

As the Human Resources Coordinator at Mendocino Farms, you will be at the intersection of recruitment, training, culture, and human resources.  Your main areas of responsibility will be providing administrative support to all teams under the People department as well as the to the corporate (Base Camp) office.

Responsibilities:

  • Talent Acquisition (Recruitment)
    • Schedule phone / video interviews, in-person interviews and debrief meetings; working directly with candidates and hiring managers for Base Camp recruiting
    • Arrange candidate travel as needed
    • Assist with pre-employment processing and on boarding of Base Camp and Management new hires
    • Recruitment expense tracking and reporting
  • Training & Development
    • Create, format, and organize content for weekly company newsletter on our learning management system (LMS)
    • Audits and rolls up weekly compliance of all training program assignments and communication
    • Assists with training support email requests
    • Assist with conference planning and coordination
    • Assist in the execution of company-wide culture initiatives (wellness events, happy hours, etc.)
    • Schedule food safety classes and maintain inventory of certificates
  • Human Resources
    • Receive, file, collate, and scan confidential documents for personnel files.
    • HRIS platform administration (password resetting, navigation, etc.)
  • General office duties for Corporate office (Base Camp)
    • Coordinate and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and packages (Fed-Ex, USPS, UPS)
    • Monitor, order, and restock office supply inventory
    • Coordinate with building manager regarding facilities and building issues
    • Provide admin support for various meetings and All Hooves (company-wide) meetings

Requirements:

  • Prior admin experience in Human Resources, Training, Development, Talent Acquisition, or related field.
  • Extensive Microsoft Office and Google Suite experience
  • Experience working with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and/or Learning Management System (LMS) preferred, but not required
  • Possess a strong level of discretion and integrity to manage confidential information
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, meet deadlines, make decisions, and change the course of action quickly
  • Exceptional communication skills, including writing emails, and verbal skills
  • Ability to maintain composure under stressful conditions
  • Detail oriented and excellent follow through
  • Ability to balance work independently with minimal supervision and be able to respond effectively to competing priorities
  • The ability to flex and deal with ambiguity in a dynamic, fast-paced, high growth environment

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
  • Sitting / standing 6-8 hours.
  • Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
  • Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching
