What are we looking For:
We are seeking a dynamic Software Engineering Manager with deep AI expertise to lead our growing team of 7+ AI Engineers. You'll drive the development of cutting-edge AI solutions including LLM-powered applications, agentic workflows, and data enrichments, while ensuring technical excellence across the full software development lifecycle. This role combines hands-on technical leadership in AI technologies with proven people management skills in an agile environment.
What You'll Do:
Technical Leadership
- Architect and oversee end-to-end AI solution delivery, from initial concept through production deployment and ongoing optimization, ensuring enterprise-grade quality and performance
- Lead the design and implementation of LLM-powered applications, multi-agent workflows, and autonomous AI systems that directly impact user experiences
- Drive software and AI engineering best practices across the full SDLC, including requirements gathering, system design, coding standards, testing strategies, deployment pipelines, and maintenance protocols
Leadership & Team Management
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of AI Engineers, conducting regular one-on-ones, performance reviews, and career development discussions
- Foster knowledge sharing and continuous learning, ensuring the team stays current with rapidly evolving AI technologies, frameworks, and best practices
- Create an environment that encourages innovation, technical excellence, and cross-functional collaboration while managing team capacity and resource allocation effectively
- Collaborate closely with product managers, data scientists, and platform engineers to align AI initiatives with business objectives and deliver projects on time.
What You'll Bring:
Experience & Leadership
- 6+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with demonstrable expertise in building and deploying scalable AI-powered applications
- 3+ years of proven team leading and people management experience with software engineering teams, with a track record of developing talent and delivering complex technical projects
- Strong experience working in agile environments driving iterative development processes
Technical Expertise
- Deep understanding of software development methodologies, system architecture, API design, and integration patterns with strong programming proficiency in Python and familiarity with Java/Kotlin
- Experience with LLM-powered solutions and frameworks such as LangGraph for agentic applications, as well as APIs from OpenAI, Anthropic, and other leading AI providers
- Knowledge of vector databases and RAG systems for semantic search and knowledge retrieval applications
- Good Knowledge of MLOps practices, model versioning, A/B testing for AI applications, and experience with cloud AI/ML services (Azure preferred, AWS or Google Cloud)
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), cloud platforms (Azure preferred), infrastructure monitoring, and performance optimization across distributed systems
Education & Soft Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent technical degree with good theoretical knowledge of AI, ML, and NLP principles
- Strong problem-solving abilities with experience debugging complex AI systems, optimizing performance bottlenecks, and implementing scalable solutions
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders and drive cross-functional alignment
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow/PyTorch), transformer architectures, and model fine-tuning for specialized applications
- Experience with NLP, computer vision, image processing, and speech-to-text technologies with understanding of attention mechanisms and advanced model architectures
- Background in security and compliance requirements for AI systems, including data privacy, model governance, and enterprise-grade deployment practices
