Part-Time Insights Analyst (Chinese Proficiency)

What We’re Looking For
Join Meltwater’s Client Insights team as a Part-Time Insights Analyst, supporting the delivery of daily media monitoring and insights reports for key Singapore clients.
In this role, you will analyse news and social media coverage, compile key developments, and contribute to high-quality reports used by organisations to understand public sentiment, media narratives, and emerging issues.
This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with media content, analysing trends, and producing concise summaries of complex information. You will work closely with a remote team of analysts to deliver accurate and timely insights during our early morning reporting cycle.

- Monitor news and social media coverage using Meltwater’s platform to support daily deliverables
- Summarise and translate Chinese news content into clear English write-ups
- Support the preparation of daily and other regular client reports
- Work with your team to ensure reports are delivered accurately and on time
- Follow established processes and pick up improvements along the way
- Respond to basic client or internal queries related to reports during your shift (via email or messaging tools)
Important Note on Working Hours
This role supports time-sensitive daily reporting for clients, and requires consistent availability during the assigned early morning shift.
Applicants should be comfortable working 5:00 AM - 10:00 AM or 6:00 AM - 11:00 AM (Monday to Friday) and responding to time-sensitive deliverables and queries within this time window.
What You'll Bring:
- Strong proficiency in Chinese and English, with the ability to accurately translate Chinese news content into English
- Proficiency in additional languages, such as Malay or Tamil, is a plus
- Interest in current affairs, media, and social media trends
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of information accurately
- Good time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with a distributed team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and G Suite tools
- Entry-level candidates are welcome
- Experience working with media monitoring or research tools will be advantageous
