As a coordinator at MedVet, you work collaboratively with the team you support on a variety of key projects. Details on this role as listed below.         
This is a hybrid role located in Worthington, Ohio. On the two days per week you are in the office, you are welcome to bring your well-behaved pet with you.         
Role Summary          
Reporting to the Supervisor, Payroll; the Coordinator, HRIS and Payroll is accountable for processing the bi-weekly payroll and helping to manage the Human Capital Management (HCM) system for all team members. Under moderate supervision of the Supervisor, the role also performs various coordination tasks such as reviewing and processing employee system requests, entering payroll data, verifying accuracy of entries, and collaborating with business partners on payroll / system concerns, reporting needs and questions.          
           
          
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to          
HRIS          
  • Process and maintain new-hire paperwork for accuracy and proper documentation and storage.
  • Ensure data accuracy across HRIS platform through audits, reporting, etc.
  • Run various weekly, bi-weekly, quarterly, and yearly reports as needed for auditing and ad-hoc requests.
  • Routinely process status changes for team members.
  • Collaborate with various parties to ensure understanding of labor management practice through resolving questions, responding to concerns, and proactively ensuring accuracy of data.
  • Support system optimizations and defects through research, testing, documentation, etc.
           
Payroll          
  • Responsible for bi-weekly payroll including a subset of the larger MedVet organization.
  • Ownership of audits and reporting on a recurring basis to support payroll processing.
  • Validate data within labor management system (missing time, exceptions, etc.) and communicate to appropriate parties to ensure an accurate payroll.
  • Accountable for Payroll Mailbox, processing all requests and responding to inquiries effectively.
  • Manage the Garnishment process including entry, deduction, submission, and reconciling.
  • Assist with tax inquiries throughout the year in addition to W2 and other year-end activities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities          
The Coordinator, HRIS and Payroll has a minimum of 2 years’ experience with payroll processing, or equivalent experience in a finance or HRIS role. A minimum Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field preferred. In addition, this position requires:           
           
  • Knowledge of payroll processing procedures with thorough math skills.
  • Strong analytical skills to understand downstream impacts of process and technology changes.
  • Knowledge of standard office procedures and MSOffice products.
  • Excellent data entry skills with accuracy and sense of timeliness.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Knowledge of Ceridian Dayforce payroll system a plus.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and have good business acumen.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to build partnerships and facilitate effective collaboration.
  • Ability to communicate succinctly and professionally.
  • Strong attention to detail and content with repetition.
  • Works professionally with a strong work ethic, self-direction, and integrity.
  • Ability to work well with people at all levels of the organization.
