We are looking for: Medical Oncology Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)

This team develops strong bonds with our patients and clients, requiring compassion and excellent patient care. Our Medical Oncology technicians thrive in a fast-paced environment, can multi-task, will develop excellent venipuncture skills, have high attention to detail and will gain experience in chemotherapy treatments. 
 
What you’ll do: 
  • Assist in chemotherapy protocols  
  • Drug calculations as they relate to treatment plans 
  • Vertical-flow hood and maintenance  
  • Clinical studies/trials 
  • Extravasation protocols/safety 
  • Administration of chemotherapy, requiring excellent venipuncture skills and IV catheter placement 
  • Coordinate and manage client communication/education via phone and email 
  • Manage appointments, obtain histories, invoicing, patient discharges, scheduling 
  • Accurate and thorough documentation in medical records 
  • Clinical studies/trials 
Who you are: 
  • State Registered Veterinary Technician license required 
  • Prior veterinary experience required, previous oncology experience desired 
  • Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.) 
  • Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary 
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
