Director of Technology Delivery

Role Summary

The Director of Technology Delivery is responsible for ensuring MedVet’s most critical, cross-functional initiatives are executed effectively and deliver intended outcomes. This role bridges technology, support services, operations and organizational change to drive end-to-end execution across complex initiatives.

This is an execution leadership role focused on translating strategy into coordinated action, removing barriers, and ensuring initiatives land at the hospital level and achieve measurable impact.

This role reports to the VP, Technology & Systems Strategy and has Project Managers as direct reports.


What This Role Owns

  • IT Strategy Execution – Including IT Capital, IT Portfolio, IT Planning, and IT Strategy
    As related to key Technology Strategies, owns capital planning, portfolio governance, and \technology planning to ensure full value is realized from technology investments
  • End-to-End Execution of Strategic Initiatives
    Drives delivery across enterprise initiatives that span technology and caregiver workflows (e.g., Unicomm, Salesforce, ezyVet optimization)
  • Cross-Functional Alignment & Coordination
    Ensures IT, Healthcare, Operations, Support Services and OCM are aligned on scope, sequencing, dependencies, and outcomes
  • Execution Risk Management
    Identifies risks early (technical, operational, adoption) and drives resolution before they impact delivery
  • Outcome Accountability
    Tracks initiatives from concept through implementation and into adoption—ensuring intended business outcomes are realized
  • Leadership Visibility & Clarity
    Provides clear, concise updates to executive leadership on progress, risks, and outcomes (not just status)

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate high-level initiative goals into coordinated execution plans across teams
  • Drive accountability across IT and MedVet functions without direct authority
  • Ensure clear linkage between requirements, build, workflows, and adoption
  • Remove blockers and escalate issues with proposed solutions
  • Establish simple, effective execution tracking tied to outcomes (not just tasks)
  • Partner closely with OCM to ensure initiatives are not only implemented, but adopted
  • Partner with Operations to ensure workflows are practical and sustainable at the hospital level
  • Lead initiative “delivery pods” (Business Owner, OCM, IT, Vendor) to ensure alignment and momentum
  • Drive consistency in how enterprise initiatives are executed without creating unnecessary overhead

  • Improved speed to deliver enterprise initiatives
  • Reduced execution risk and fewer escalations to executive leadership
  • Increased consistency of outcomes across hospitals
  • Demonstrated adoption of new capabilities and workflows
  • Clear linkage between initiative delivery and business outcomes

  • IT Leadership & Technical Teams – align on build, integration, and delivery
  • COO & Operations Leaders – align on business priorities and workflows
  • Support Services – align on business priorities and workflows
  • OCM Leadership – partner on adoption and behavior change
  • Executive Leadership Team – provide visibility into initiative progress and outcomes
  • Vendors/Implementation Partners – build relationships and manage to provide value

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 10 years in healthcare or similarly complex environments
  • Strong ability to operate across technology, operations, and organizational change
  • Demonstrated success driving execution without formal authority
  • Excellent judgment in prioritization, risk management, and stakeholder alignment
  • Ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Clear, concise communicator—able to engage frontline teams and executive leaders
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building structure where needed (without over-engineering)

MedVet offers competitive compensation and full benefits package, including paid time off, health insurance, dental, vision, and 401K. Expected salary for this role is $150,000-$200,000 with 10% bonus target and 10% long-term incentive target.
