MedVet is seeking a veterinarian to join our Urgent Care team in Cleveland, OH. As an Urgent Care Veterinarian, you will work as part of a highly efficient, well-coordinated team that supports a quality work-life balance while practicing exceptional medicine. Urgent Care Veterinarian: The primary role of the Urgent Care Veterinarian is to efficiently provide high-quality outpatient care to patients with minor injuries and illnesses. Responsibilities include all aspects of urgent care that do not require hospitalization, with an emphasis on thorough and timely communication with clients and referral veterinarians. Cases requiring more advanced care will be stabilized and transferred to MedVet Cleveland's specialty and emergency services for continued treatment and 24-hour care. This is a unique opportunity for a small animal general practice, emergency, or internship-trained veterinarian to work in a collaborative environment with the benefit of set shift schedules.

Specific Responsibilities:
- Assist with in-person and phone triage.
- Supervise patient intake and evaluation.
- Provide prompt examinations, diagnostic recommendations, and treatment plans.
- Stabilize patients requiring advanced care and coordinate transfers to appropriate specialty services within MedVet Cleveland.
- Communicate effectively with clients and referral partners regarding patient status, diagnostics, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
- Engage in the training and development of clinical team members.
- Utilize existing templates and workflows to efficiently complete medical records, discharges, and referral reports.
- Work collaboratively with emergency and specialty teams to ensure continuity of patient care.
- This is an excellent opportunity for a new graduate or experienced veterinarian to practice in a supportive, team-oriented environment with set schedules.
Requirements:
- Licensed veterinarian in the state of Ohio (or eligible for licensure).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
