Your Mission: 

Reporting to the EMEA VP Mid-Market Sales, the Client Executive is responsible for managing and driving growth through nominated top-tier  mid-market accounts.

As a Client Executive you will be tasked with achieving revenue objectives in geographic or specifically-named account territories including identifying sales opportunities, qualifying opportunities, and efficiently leveraging resources in order to bring opportunities to successful conclusion. In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and personal involvement in customer relationships in order to remain consistent with Medidata business principles.

  • Consistent attainment of all revenue and booking targets within assigned territory, per targets based on position referenced above

  • Development and execution of strategic sales plans as it relates to specific opportunities within assigned territory

  • Represent Medidata in the field in a manner consistent with company business principles and ethics

  • Directly responsible for closing sales transactions with clients and prospects

  • Coordination of resources within sales and other departments in order to achieve objectives

  • Maintain and update sales plans, account and opportunity data within company systems as directed, including SalesForce.com




Your Competencies: 

  • Complexity: Possess the ability to navigate through complex sales environments, position leading edge solutions ; involving discerning customers and sophisticated customer requirements.  Orchestrate deals that bring together multiple client side and internal Medidata stakeholders, including pre-sales. 

  • Business Acumen: Have an acute understanding of organizational dynamics and be in-tune with and up to date with the competitive the landscape.  Have the ability to build credibility and rapport at c-level and gain trust and acceptance.

  • Software Selling: Expertise in SaaS / software sales is highly desirable

  • Clinical / Life Sciences: A working knowledge of life sciences industry is a prerequisite.  A good understanding of clinical trials is ideal.

  • Planning:  Ability to develop and execute against a sales plan. Maintain a robust sales pipeline.  Accurate forecasting and quarterly revenue booking.

  • Success: Demonstrated consistent tenacity and drive to achieve goals. Consistent track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets  

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills




Your Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred 

  • Requires previous successful sales experience
