Partner Account Manager
Responsible for selling the company’s products; primary responsibility may include finding, generating and developing new OEM/VAR partners in order to sell the company’s products to end-users. Develops new accounts and/or expands existing OEM/VAR accounts. Customers may be geographic or named accounts. Level Description - Career-level sales account managers who are fully qualified, experienced professionals. A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways. This job is the fully qualified, career-oriented, journey-level position. Has a complete knowledge of company products and services. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise. Responsible for selling the company’s products or services, developing new accounts and/or expanding existing accounts. If unable to distinguish between levels or only one level of account manager within the company, match to the career level. Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments. Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience. Typically requires 5-8 years of field sales experience.
