Your Mission: 

The CSS Program Manager is one of the key hubs for strategic and operational information within the organization's programs. They work directly with function leaders (program leaders) to ensure clear goals, clear priorities, and clear outcomes are readily available and disseminated both within and outside of the CSS organization. 

The Program Manager also works to ensure the projects within their remit are set up for success by working with the project managers and functional leads to coordinate, plan, and execute on their initiatives. Their primary mission is to ensure focus, clarity, and efficiency prevail within their functional areas.

Program Oversight and Reporting:

  • Collaborate with Functional Leaders to create, disseminate, and maintain the overarching themes and goals which guide the program’s initiatives. 

  • Work to visualize and report the progress and final results for the established goals as influenced by project outcomes.

  • Lead regular status checks with project managers and/or project leads. Escalate appropriate risks and data to leadership.

  • Maintain key data sources to ensure timely and accurate status is available for all concerned stakeholders.

  • Assist in the development of business cases for the program and project levels

Program Planning and Execution:

  • Work with Functional Leaders to create, maintain, prioritize, and execute the projects within verticals.

  • Facilitate cross organizational planning and coordination in support of the program priorities. This will include functional areas both inside and outside of the CSS organization (R&D, Sales, Professional Services).

  • Work with the Head of Program and Project leadership to consolidate and deliver updates on the health of the CSS portfolio

  • Work to understand the mechanics within assigned functional areas while translating them to broader CSS operational dependencies in order to deliver shared value.

  • Directly lead individual projects when needed.

  • Other responsibilities and tasks as necessary to support the evolving needs of the CSS organization.

Continuous Improvement and Development:

  • Act as a guide and coach to the project managers and leads within the program. Help optimize and streamline where possible.

  • Participate in transformational initiatives to improve and streamline the CSS PMO models and tools.

  • Assist in the dissemination and coaching of process changes across CSS. Work to facilitate adherence and adoption.

  • Where required facilitate the execution of programs between Legacy Medidata and Parent Company Dassault Systemes.


Your Education & Experience:

  • 4 -year college degree or equivalent (organizational leadership discipline a plus) preferred

  • 5+ years relevant experience in leading complex projects and/or programs. Clinical/biomedical/Pharmaceutical and/ or software development experience preferred

  • Agile, SixSigma, PMI Certifications a plus
