Your Mission: 
The Senior Manager, Diversity & Belonging will play a key role in championing Medidata’s efforts to further strengthen our global D&B approach across the internal employee life cycle. This role will partner strongly with our Leaders, Talent Acquisition, Business Partners, and Learning and Development in order to integrate our strategy into our hiring practices and create a more inclusive workplace. The individual will create impactful inclusion strategies and innovative programs that connect the business priorities to our talent practices.

Reporting into the Head of Corporate Social Responsibility & Diversity, you will lead the development and execution of long-term D&B goals and manage the global governance structure that will provide oversight of the goals to drive accountability. This leader will have deep D&B expertise with a keen understanding of the new trends within the market and provide an innovative approach to creating an inclusive society.  Experience of building global strategies, measuring success and identifying key areas of the business and culture for improvement with an emphasis on tracking progress.
  • Evolve our current diversity and belonging strategy and develop key programs that will make a more inclusive culture and company
  • Work with the Diversity Practitioner to create a process to track progress and identify key areas to improve diversity hiring
  • Create processes and training programs to encourage greater diversity hiring within the business
  • Manage programming for our talent including mentoring and development opportunities 
  • Strengthen quarterly Executive Summaries of insights for each function leverage data to generate insights and translate into actions that support our D&B goals and drive transparency and accountability across all levels of the business
  • Relaunch the D&B Global Leadership Council with refreshed priorities and structure for their mandate and responsibilities
  • Partner with key stakeholders: Business leaders, people business partners, talent acquisition and branding, learning and development
  • Manage our overall Business Resource Groups (BRGs) and help strengthen their role within the business
  • Leverage the resources and centers of expertise within the Global Communications organization – including platform development, analytics, research, and talent brand – to quantify and deepen communications impact, improve decision support and drive outcomes
  • Lead governance process and provide support to the global D&B Council to ensure strategic alignment and tracking of key initiatives
  • Conduct research, analysis and benchmarking across other organizations to provide insight on developing an inclusive workforce that respects diversity at all levels
  • Bring subject matter expertise in D&B to develop comprehensive communication strategies that identify and leverage macro trends to inform Medidata’s narrative and positioning both internally and externally as a great place to work.  Provide thought leadership back to the organization

  • Disruptor - You understand the trends in the market and diversity best practice but you are also driven by testing the boundaries and thinking outside the box.
Your Education & Experience:
  • Bachelors required
  • Min 5 years experience in an operational or strategic diversity, equity, and inclusion role
  • Examples of programs and initiatives that you have launched and revamped
  • Proven success of taking a flexible approach when working with leadership
  • Have experience working with Corporate Social Responsibility and Social Impact programs 
  • Experience in embedding Diversity & Belonging Principles into business processes
  • Minimum 6 years years of experience required overall
