Your Mission:

In a partnering capacity, the People and Business Partner will influence client groups' on issues involving talent assessment, key talent development, employee relations, compensation, performance management and employee engagement in the European region. The People and Business Partner will report to the Director, People and Business Partner, EMEA and work closely with COE’s to deliver results for the Client group. This role has become available for a period of maternity cover.

  • Know the business being served at a very deep level; this requires constant engagement with the management team including attending staff meetings, off-sites and knowing every element of their business needs.

  • Partner closely with Directors, Sr. Managers, Managers and the larger teams providing them with appropriate advice and counsel on employee issues.

  • Engage in Talent Assessment in the client group and ensure top contributors are engaged and rewarded and bottom performers are moved up or out.

  • Assess and provide advice on development for top talent of the Client group.

  • Investigate employee issues and complaints in a timely, professional manner; respond to and resolve issues as appropriate.

  • Partner with COEs for solutions to address client requirements.

  • Guide managers on Annual processes like Compensation, Check ins, Promotions, Employee surveys. Developing action plans and facilitating their execution.

  • Drive performance management, not just on an annual basis but throughout the year by coaching managers on appropriate goal setting, coaching, and feedback

  • Provide analysis of organization health by analyzing trends in attrition and turnover


Your Competencies:

  • Demonstrated ability to operate in an environment with ambiguity and change; adapting to and being a champion for positive change

  • Able to uncover issues & root causes and apply business focused solutions

  • Effective implementation of change management principles

  • Exceptional communication and project management skills

  • The ability to get things done through others, without a direct reporting relationship

  • Ability to apply and create “best practice” solutions

  • Demonstrated ability to take initiate and have a bias for thoughtful action

  • Demonstrated proficiency in coaching, influencing, negotiating and managing conflict

  • Solid understanding of UK employment law and knowledge of European employment law (preferably Switzerland, Germany and Ireland)

  • Experience of TUPE and associated employee consultations

  • Resilient with a high level of personal integrity and energy

  • Proficient with Google suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides)

  • A driven, results-oriented professional with a sense of humor

Your Education & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Human Resources, preferably Business Partner experience.

  • CIPD level 7 accreditation, MCIPD accreditation preferred
