Your Mission:

The Director, Business Development is responsible for a team of 8-10 Business Development Specialists focused on demand generation and pipeline build activities. As the team lead you will set the pace for the team’s prospecting efforts within their assigned account territory. Leveraging a variety of tactics and approaches, you will support your team’s efforts in building and expanding existing relationships within their accounts, and in identifying new buying opportunities. Working closely with Sales leadership, you will ensure your team is equipped and focused on the priority accounts and selling opportunities.

Your Commitments:

  • Guide Business Development Specialists to achieve quarterly Opportunity goals

  • Mentor and coach team members on effective prospecting and outreach strategies

  • Assign and maintain account territories and teams

  • Work with Compensation Team to establish Opportunity quotas, review progress, and ensure quarterly payouts are properly managed

  • Meet regularly with Sales leaders to review pipeline build efforts

  • Coordinate across Sales and Marketing to plan and build outbound prospecting programs

  • Establish lead follow-up programs from events and other marketing activities

  • Collaborate with the Digital team to maintain the inbound request channels and ensure prospect inquiries are handled in a timely manner

  • Oversee the Opp handover process to Sales to ensure a seamless customer experience

  • Develop dashboards and reports to evaluate team performance and effectiveness

  • Manage relationships with vendors supporting Business Development e.g., Gong, Zymewire, Outreach.io, Global Data

  • Ensure team receives proper training and enablement support on tools, processes, and company products and solutions

  • Represent Dassault Systemes in a manner consistent with company principles and ethics

Your Competencies:

  • Demonstrated consistent track record in exceeding sales targets

  • Persistence, tenacity, and drive to achieve goals

  • Collaborative approach and ability to work across multiple teams and departments

  • Enterprise software sales experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proven success in a fast-paced and demanding environment

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

Your Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required; or equivalent years of experience.

  • Requires a minimum of 3+ years of experience managing a team of 6-8 people.
