Your Mission: 

Provide oversight and expertise in the development of efficient processes and/or systems/infrastructure for the  Technical Services team. Ensure training materials are developed and current for all delivery units within Technical Services.

  • Coordinate, prepare and oversee all process development work within Technical Services ensuring new processes are developed as needed and all processes are reviewed and maintained

  • Work in collaboration with Operational Excellence to ensure any quality system documents (QSDs) are regularly reviewed and updated in activities related to Technical Services.

  • Coordinate and oversee all training materials required to support Technical Services for current and new team members, including writing training materials when needed.

  • Coordinate and oversee all infrastructure work within Technical Services, liaison between Technical Services Lead and Medidata Infrastructure Teams (for example - server capacity, service level agreements with other Medidata teams such as Service Delivery, Enterprise Support)

  • Collaborate with the wider Technical Services team to ensure expertise and input is provided to process, training and infrastructure as needed

  • Participate in and be the lead for any Operations Excellence initiatives or process reviews representing Technical Services

  • Build strong relationships with all Professional Services teams (in particular Operational Excellence team), Service Delivery, Enterprise Support, Medidata Academy teams

  • Assist with gathering and preparing metrics and overseeing use of Jira within Technical Services, including maintaining Jira process documentation.

Your Competencies: 

  • Solid analytical skills that will enable individuals to quickly understand and evaluate requirements from multiple sources.

  • Ability to proactively engage and build working relationships across all levels of the organization

  • Solid written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex ideas in a clear, focused and concise manner to all levels of management, both technical and non-technical  

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities/deadlines including the ability to multi-task and juggle many competing priorities and deadlines

Your Education & Experience:

  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams to collaborate, negotiate and influence project outcomes

  • Experience with metrics reporting and with quality documentation experience

  • Experience with process improvement/change management methodologies

  • Familiarity with MS Tools (Visio, MS Projects, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

  • Familiarity with Jira is preferred

  • Familiarity with controlled documents and their associated environment

  • 3+ years experience working in development/engineer role ideally in the life science industry

  • 4+ years experience in process improvement roles ideally in the life sciences industry.
