Senior Learning Solutions Designer
The Medidata Global Education Senior Learning Solutions Designer develops and maintains eLearning and instructor-led learning programs for Medidata products as well as the clinical trial industry. These learning programs focus on the knowledge and skills that customers and employees across the Medidata Solutions ecosystem need to complete their daily tasks.
This position has responsibilities that extend globally to all of Medidata’s locations. This is a highly consultative and collaborative role in which the Senior Learning Solutions Designer will consult with key stakeholders in the organization to identify education and enablement needs, make solution recommendations, and oversee program execution. The qualified candidate who fills this position must be detail oriented, organized and concise. By working both independently and as part of a team, this person must be able to meet tight deadlines while consistently delivering high quality work.

The Senior Learning Solutions Designer develops training for Medidata products needed by clients and colleagues.
Work with subject matter experts to identify target audience’s training needs and develop education plans to meet these needs
Design and develop eLearning courses, instructor-led training programs, and other instructional materials defined in the education plans
Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhance retention and transfer
Collaborate with certification specialists to develop courses and assessments that support certification programs
Mentor other Learning Solutions Designers to help expand their skills
Manage projects that require planning and PM skills
Ensure deliverables are completed on time, with high quality and adhere to company standards
Perform the following for new and existing courses:
Course design, production, quality control and implementation
Review and update course content during each product/patch-release cycle.
Work with eLearning vendors on various course development and localization projects
Maintain a working knowledge of Medidata systems to facilitate course development
Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
Lesson and curriculum planning skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to understand software products and write structured course content in a consistent fashion
Proficient with eLearning development tools; proficiency with Articulate Storyline 360 is preferred
Knowledge of SCORM and LMS or LCMS
Experience with designing Instructor-Led Training (ILT) courses
Strong project management and time management skills
Able to assume responsibility and work autonomously in a professional manner
Ability to understand and communicate concepts quickly and accurately
Ability to provide technical guidance to more junior team members
Experience with localization and certification preferred
Understanding of how training development fits within the software development lifecycle
Ability to travel between the east coast offices, as needed
Must be able to work within tight deadlines in a fast-paced, software development environment
SaaS experience is a plus.
Your Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree required
Master’s Degree preferred (Instructional Design, eLearning Technology, Learning Theory, etc).
5 or more years of corporate training and curricula/courseware development experience.
Life Sciences industry experience preferred.
