Marketing Specialist China
We are currently seeking a Marketing Specialist role for China. The Medidata Marketing team delivers business impact marketing initiatives, delivered through omni platforms across different customer segments with region relevant content to accelerate customer lifecycle progress. We drive programmatic execution through digital assets, webinars and workshops as well as internal, partner and customer facing coordination.
Reporting to the APeJ Demand Marketing Senior Director, the Marketing Specialist is responsible for executing and reporting on China marketing activities encompassing awareness, nurturing and pipeline programs. This role will contribute to the development and implementation of our omni-channel marketing initiatives and will ensure the effectiveness of these campaigns through cross functional planning.
We are looking for a creative, self-starter with strong organizational, program management, and problem-solving skills who values strong partnerships in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
This is an individual contributor role and this position will be based in Shanghai, China.
Focus on flawless execution, manage demand generation programs such as webinars, trade shows, user group meetings, seminars and hands on workshops aligning with the overall China Marketing plan
Working under the guidance of the China Marketing lead, create and follow up on marketing led activities from invitations, reminders, thank you emails to registration management, on site support and post event administration;
Organise content requirements, propose recommendations for relevant content appropriate for the activity & China customer landscape.
Collaborate with APAC product marketing and agency to localize marketing assets such as infographics, customer reference stories, videos, etc.
Align activity/ event plan with the overall theme, follow up with speakers on presentation slides, check for branding consistency, etc.
Manage the 3rd party agency before, during and after the event on tracking budget, registrations, logistics and digital landing pages;
Utilize a variety of techniques including email, social media (such as wechat or linkedin) and digital/inbound marketing programs.
Execute on post event and campaigns activities including uploads into SFDC, and reporting to showcase success and learnings.
Other marketing related projects or tasks assigned
Up to 20% travel
Events and campaign country execution experience, including writing invitations, planning webpages, working with 3rd party agencies, and managing events onsite (physical or virtual).
Knowledge and experience in executing & tracking marketing plans and programs utilizing email, webinars, digital/inbound marketing, social media and face-to-face events.
Ability to be innovative with respect to program creation and problem resolution, and process-oriented with respect to marketing operations and execution workflows.
Knowledge of marketing processes and automation systems; experience with lead scoring and nurturing methodologies is a plus..
Experience interfacing with all levels in a Sales organization including account executives, technical consultants and senior leadership.
Excellent interpersonal and persuasive skills to bring together stakeholders from disparate functional groups to enable smooth program execution.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese.
Excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills.

Experience in either life sciences / biopharmaceutical sector or technology industry is preferred.
Your Education & Experience:
Agency experience is a plus;
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Communications, Business, Marketing or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in events management, field marketing, demand generation or marketing program role.
