Your Mission:

The Sr. Marketing Analytics Manager is responsible for developing dashboards, analyses and insights that enable us to clearly understand prospect engagement, track user paths, mitigate risks, and discover new campaign opportunities. This position is part of Medidata’s Global Marketing team and works closely with Marketing groups across all regions. It will require exceptional creativity, the ability to innovate, and a “hands-on” approach to accomplish the work. The role will report to the Sr. Director of Insights and Planning within Marketing.

Your Commitments:

  • Responsible for the development of Marketing performance metrics, global marketing dashboards and business insights with actionable understanding of Medidata’s marketing performance to ensure additional revenue-creation opportunities and optimization of the demand funnel.

  • Measure results and optimize the lead generation and nurturing workflow to ensure we are reaching our goals at every stage of the prospect and customer lifecycle.

  • Define and build demand generation program dashboards for performance analysis and closed-loop reporting; analyze data related to lead opportunity stage and conversions, acquisition source, and multi-touch attribution; develop insights that help users better understand what, why and now-what.

  • Combine data across, Eloqua, web site tools, and other third party data solutions, analyze and interpret trends, measure marketing contribution, and share actionable insights with the team. Providing tools to measure performance along with insights, across the range of marketing activities, to support and drive marketing performance improvement and optimization.

  • Develop models, such as Marketing Mix Modelling, to support the key strategic decision on marketing investment and planning: Understand and communicate Marketing’s return on investment and impact on the wider business targets; Measureand model marketing activities and results to provide input to future planning

  • Effectively communicate complicated analyses to a non-analytic audience.

  • Contribute to maintain data quality within marketing systems and database; Partner with internal IT Analytics team to address data needs and determine how to best to prioritize those needs.

Your Competencies:

  • Love for analytics and data and ability to create insights from various structured and/or unstructured data

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Tableau, SQL, SAS, R, or Python

  • Dashboard & Analytics design and creation (visualizations, analysis, modelling); proficiency in marketing automation platforms (like Eloqua) and Salesforce

  • Ability and experience analyzing and interpreting large marketing data to draw conclusions

  • Strong understanding of Marketing: campaigns, execution, segmentations, and resource distribution; thorough understanding of marketing analytics techniques coupled with a strong business sense

  • Excellent interpersonal and persuasive skills to bring together stakeholders from disparate functional groups to enable program creation, support, and execution; Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing and measurement

  • Understanding of best practice B2B marketing analysis approaches (Such as Sirius Decisions Demand Waterfall); Knowledge of Google Analytics and other reporting tools a plus

  • Fast learner – Can pick up things quickly and does not require hand holding; Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Self-motivated, able to assume responsibility and work autonomously

  • Up to 5% travel; mostly US-based

Your Education & Experience:

  • Master's degree required in Economics, Business Administration, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, management information systems, operation research or related fields;

  • Requires a minimum of 6 years of experience including analyzing and reporting on lead generation sources and metrics in B2B demand generation; 3 years + in a Marketing Reporting/Analytics role; preferably working experience at large size ($500M in revenue) companies and know how to engage with a data analysis team in IT as well as Sales Ops
