Your Mission:

Medidata is the leader in developing the technologies that allow our customers to get the medicines to patients faster.  Building on our long history of delivering world-class clinical applications to the life sciences industry, Medidata’s Product Organization is staffed with a passionate team of product management experts, tackling the industry’s most difficult technical challenges in order to push the boundaries of possibility for our clients and most importantly, for patients. Together we can deliver meaningful advanced digital transformation to the industry in order to achieve our vision. 

Our Product Design function is run out of London, New York and San Francisco.  If you enjoy designing digital customer experiences and have an interest in understanding how the underlying technologies are used to bring a concept to life, this role based in our London office, could be ideal for you, as you will work on Medidata’s next generation of SaaS based clinical trial management applications and play a lead role in helping us provide value to our users.

  • Create visually engaging, innovative and functional digital products

  • Work closely with our clients and internal teams to help shape solutions and rapidly visualize a proposition, through sketching and prototyping

  • Work collaboratively with other designers to ensure a consistent, integrated brand perception and user experience

  • Be aware of new design patterns and provide solutions based on these and existing patterns

  • Present your ideas to a varied audience from user experience designers, product managers to technical architects, developers and customers

  • Be an active contributor to and evangelist for the use of design methodologies along the entire solution development lifecycle

  • Confidence in communicating, defending, and building consensus around design solutions
  • A thoughtful problem solver - considering multiple solutions with pros and cons
  • Someone willing to challenge the status-quo and offer creative solutions to tough problems

  • A self-learner - able to learn new tools quickly and work in a fast evolving environment

Your Education & Experience:

  • Proven professional experience in designing digital solutions.  We would like to hear from candidates from both agency and client backgrounds

  • Solid understanding of user-centred design methods across the product design process

  • Experience with tools such as Sketch, InVision, Axure

  • Basic knowledge and awareness of front-end technologies
