Employee Experience & Internal Communications Intern (Summer 2023)

The Opportunity:

As an Employee Experience/Internal Communications Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to work on many initiatives across a growing healthcare company supporting internal communications, employee experience, events, and talent acquisition. To continue to work towards our purpose of making a difference in the lives of others, we must continue to evolve our overall employee experience. The Intern will work closely with the Manager of Employee Experience and Internal Communications to create, develop, and execute various internal communication strategies. An ideal candidate has excellent written and verbal communication skills, with intellectual curiosity and a positive attitude.

This internship will begin in Summer 2023 and is based onsite at our office in Windham, New Hampshire.

In this role, you will:

  • Assist with content creation for internal communication channels such as the intranet, newsletters, emails, television, etc.
  • Support the social media strategy and execution of Medicus’ internal brand initiatives on Instagram, LinkedIn, Tik Tok, and Facebook.
  • Write, proofread, and review material to ensure consistency in messaging and adherence to brand standards across content and channels.
  • Participate in coordination of employee engagement activities and events.
  • Research and explore leading practices and trends as it relates to the employee experience.
  • Assist with Summer Internship Program by driving communications, engagement, and activities.
  • Support onboarding of new hires by providing administrative support as needed, such as scheduling meetings, managing calendars, etc.
  • Prepare and strategize for the upcoming college recruitment season.
  • Shadow and assist other members of the Medicus People Team to develop a holistic understanding of our organization.

What you’ll need:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with an interest in Marketing, Communications, Human Resources or Employee Experience.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to work out of our Windham, NH office 3-4 days a week.
  • An interest in exploring a role that will give you exposure to internal communications, event planning, marketing, talent acquisition, and more.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and social media platforms particularly creating content on Tik Tok and Instagram.
