Position Overview:


The Director of Strategic Accounts leads the company’s efforts to expand relationships with its largest national customers. Assigned to a core portfolio of 4-6 accounts, the Director is responsible for achieving sales quotas and assigned strategic account objectives. In addition, the Director of Strategic Accounts represents the entire range of Medicus services to assigned customers, while leading the development and execution of each account strategy.

The Director of Strategic Accounts focuses on developing C-Suite relationships at the corporate level while coordinating closely with Business Development Executives who are also assigned to these customers across their various locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts
  • Achieves assigned sales quota
  • Proactively leads a joint company-account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for one and three-year periods
  • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts
  • Coordinates the involvement of company personnel including support, service and management resources to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations
  • In-person meetings with key personnel in assigned customer accounts
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis
  • Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel
  • Completes strategic customer account plans that meet company standards
  • Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards
  • Face-to-face interaction and coordination of work with other employees
