Copy Writer



We are seeking an experienced Copy Writer to join Mediacom’s Creative Systems team. In this role, you will partner with an Art Director, and work with an extensive multi-disciplinary team to create integrated concepts and campaigns.

Our team is curious, collaborative, and eager to immerse themselves in our clients’ businesses while creating compelling, culturally relevant stories.

The ideal candidate is excited to evolve as a writer, creative thinker, and team player in a fast-paced agency environment.


  • Thinks conceptually to translate sophisticated strategic platforms into accessible creative concepts
  • Strong conceptual abilities, solid Copy Writing skills and a knowledge of the digital communications landscape
  • Crafts emotive and compelling conceptual copy for omnichannel production/deployment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a larger team in a fast-paced environment
  • Is comfortable synthesizing content and visuals into strategically led, creatively crafted ideas
  • Participates in the execution of integrated, cross-channel initiatives
  • Good client presentation skills demonstrating a clear vision of how the work addresses the client challenge
  • Desire to take on new challenges, grow and learn every day


  • A 4-year degree, preferably in English, Creative Writing, or a related portfolio school
  • A strong portfolio that demonstrates an ability to think conceptually and execute across channels. 
  • 2-3 years of agency experience.
  • An expert command of grammar, culture, and style.
  • Proficiency in both short and long form copy.
  • A keen editorial eye and attention to detail.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
